IT has no sense with a 1500 GB shared video RAM try and drive 2 4k monitors, imho!!! I post an old fix page to try and help All you. I5, 8 GB RAM, 500 Gb SSD (and an old case for external storage 500 SSD via USB 3) NO double monitor, no 4k (just a good Dell U24H17 1080p) cause a Mac Mini is a MINI Apple, even if They say it may support 4k. I buyed it to change my old MBPro 2011, cause video card 3 times REPAIRED and NOW dead (production issue well known, Apple made a free campaign to fix in 2015 after a class action in USA) - I always work with my Mac not less than 8 hours/day with Word Excel CAD and usual spare time stuff (surfing, Music, video). No problem with awake from sleep mode at all, neither with previous direct HDMI cable. In my experience (very short, just 10 days ago I purchased my Mini) no problem at all with anything. My 2011 Macbook and 2013 iMac are still more reliable machines since I got the Mini in August. I thought I found a great solution for my desk space by getting the Mini, but I've had very few days without issues. I've thought about taking it to Apple when I can, but don't know if I've screwed over my Applecare or not since I broke the wi-fi antenna when I upgraded the ram to 64.Įven when I first got the machine I couldn't use more than 2 USB-C ports at once, only found a solution by buying a monitor with HDMI input. It's so frustrating, and now after getting a secondary audio interface (solely for guitar) I'm getting some audio disturbances like pops and clicks when the computer is under a very lite load. I can't go to Catalina cause I use a lot of 32bit plugins, and other's that will likely never get notarized.

In addition I've had a few random crashes which I believed corrupted some files that required a wipe and new install of Mojave, but the problems still persist, including crashes under lite load. Do the kernel panics mention: Bug Type 210? Do you ever get error messages about the machine crashing after a normal boot up? I've had this problem since the March Security update.
